This is a free,12-week course for family members with a loved one who has a chemical imbalance/ brain disorder/ mental illness. Materials are presented by two trained volunteers and cover: Depression, Bipolar Disorder, Anxiety Disorders, Obsessive Compulsive Disorders, and Schizophrenia.
Medications and therapy are also discussed. Workshops are included on problem solving, communication techniques, and empathy along with classes on self care, advocacy, and recovery.
Classes every Thursday, Sept.3-Nov. 19 for 12 Weeks 6:30-9:00 PM at the Lindner Center of HOPE, 4075 Old Western Row Rd., Mason.
